FOR SPRING

MadeWithBalloons™

I really enjoy making those big, awesome,. #BalloonGrids walls and backdrops. Much of the time, however, they can be an extravagance that is unnecessary to meet your customer’s needs.

Sometimes the theme can be stated and the mood set for the event  with much smaller pieces. We have four examples above. They are simple “sketches” #MadeWithBalloons™ and four Rouse Matrix™ banner panels.

Even on occasions when you have the budget to produce a large balloon graphic, you could choose to use a number of small ones around the venue instead.

For instance, if center stage is going to be occupied by a band or a DJ with lots of lights, speakers and other equipment, then half or more of your beautiful balloon graphic could be hidden.  Maybe a plain curtain or balloon wall might serve there. You could show off you work and make the audience feel more included with decor around the room.

The flowers and trees featured in the graphics above could serve you and your customer well for spring or summer themes or for the suggestion of a garden party

VERTICAL OR HORIZONTAL

Notice the difference between the top two designs and the bottom two. Both top and bottom feature a flower design on the left and a tree design on the right. The color scheme is much the same through out all the designs. Most of the differences between top and bottom designs come from the orientation of the RMS™ Banner panels.

In the top designs the “straight” edges of the display are vertical. In the bottom two designs the “straight” edges of the display are horizontal.

Which do you prefer? When you go to lay out your designs it is likely that you will sometimes prefer one and sometimes the other. It is a simple matter to test them.  Just use the #RouseMatrix™ Banner graph paper to sketch it with the paper turned vertically and then with it turned horizontally.

LOAD THEM UP!

Once you have your plan you will use it to guide you as you expand the frames and load balloons. The #RouseAPPS™ classic way of loading those balloons is “SIMPLE” and effective. It is described below. Now days, however, you have more options. One is especially “EASY”. Another is especially STRONG.  A fourth is especially FAST. All four are described below.

The patented RouseAPPS™, “SIMPLE” way of filling out your design is to tie round balloons in pairs and then roll them into adjacent openings in the Rouse frame.

This cuts the number of balloons needed in half and greatly simplifies the planning and installation tasks compared to traditional nested garland (precision wall) techniques for building balloon graphics like our spring collection..

You tie only once to seal two balloons. You reach into your supply of prepared balloons only once for two balloons. When you load one balloon, the next balloon is right there and ready to load as well. Your display  requires half the number of balloons of more traditional nested garland techniques, yet you may set it up for viewing from both sides if you like.

The patented #RouseAPPS™, “EASY” way of filling out your design is to tie the neck of two, inflated, double-ended balloons together. Then tie the opposite ends together. Then push one of the pair through an appropriate opening in a balloon grid. Repeat this process until you have filled out your design.

This technique is so easy that we have had children as young as 8 years and a spunky neighbor of 94 produce great results with it.

The patented #RouseAPPS™  “STRONG” way of filling out your design is to tie round balloons neck to neck in pairs. Then, insert one balloon of the pair into the first balloon frame. Repeat until you whole design is filled out. Then, overlay a second and matching balloon frame. Pull each of the second balloons up and into matching openings of the second balloon frame on top.

This method is popular, because it is “forgiving” of small mistakes in centering the balloons and because it makes a display about 20 times as strong (stiff) as a comparable single layer version. It is plenty strong and light enough to suspend from above and still hold its shape.

It also gives more volume to the display and provides a space between layers of balloons that is perfect for hiding reinforcing rods or poles if you prefer to stand it on the floor.

The patented #RouseAPPS™ “FAST” way of filling out your design is to tie strings of double-ended balloons together. Load the balloons of each string into a row of adjacent openings in the #BalloonGrids frame.

With a little practice, you will likely double or quadruple your loading speed. With even more practice you might approach our current world record of 21 balloons in 15 seconds. Yes, 15 seconds. That is a rate of over 5,000 balloons loaded per hour!
